At Moi Girls` High School Eldoret during the release of 2023 KCSE exams the government assured school heads on capitation disbursement set to hit their accounts to facilitate free education.
Primary schools have received a capitation of 4.74 billion shillings,Junior secondary schools have received 7.60 billion shillings while free day secondary education have received 16.20 billion shillings.
Examiners and invigilators of 2023 KCSE have also received their dues according to the ministry of education following the disbursement of 2.80 billion shillings,however, a section of teachers have questioned the government on the mode of disbursement while urging the government to complete the pending deficit of 22 billion shillings on the secondary schools.
This comes as school heads of both public and private schools have been urged to record student details in the NEMIS systems.
The government has also announced plans to bult 15,015 classrooms for grade 9 students through an allocation of 12.8 billion shillings
