The law society of Kenya LSK has now moved to establish a legal committee, that will help to check on any violation of the constitution, following the attacks on the judicial system by president William Ruto, while in nyandarua county.
LSK will have an election next month to elect it’s representatives, and Eric Theuri is among the candidates in the coming elections, has told the president that judiciary is an independent institution, and is no longer under the direction of any person.
This comes amid as president William Ruto, continue to make attacks on the judiciary, accusing them of frustrating his government’s agenda. Ruto was speaking in Olkalau for the inspection of the construction of affordable housing project.
President Ruto has continued with his remarks that recent Court’s decisions were influenced by bribe and corruption,
LSK has planned a peaceful protest today and lawyers are expected to carry purple ribbon Infront of the supreme court before matching at the office the president, Parliament buildings and conclude at the supreme court.
President Ruto is still in his development tour in central Kenya where he has maintained that he will not allow corruption in judicial system.
