Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham is scheduled to undergo surgery on his left shoulder this Wednesday in London, aiming to make a full recovery ahead of the new season.
The England international has been dealing with shoulder issues since dislocating it during a match against Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabéu in November 2023. The injury sidelined him for four games, but he continued playing with heavy strapping, managing the pain as best he could. Both the player and club had agreed that surgery would take place after the Club World Cup, utilizing the three-week gap to begin rehabilitation.
Since November, Bellingham has worn a bulky support that’s impacted his mobility and performance.Despite a strong start in Madrid, the former Borussia Dortmund star’s form dipped as the injury persisted. According to reports by Onda Cero, Bellingham could be out for 10 to 12 weeks, with Real Madrid targeting the October international break for his return. That timeline means he’ll miss the first seven La Liga fixtures in August and September.

In the meantime, manager Xabi Alonso faces the challenge of replacing his midfield talisman, who has been a consistent starter since arriving in June 2023 for €103 million. Over two seasons, Bellingham has notched an impressive 38 goals and 28 assists across 100 appearances, solidifying his role as one of Los Blancos’ key contributors.
