The Bungoma gubernatorial aspirant Timothy Wanyonyi held a consultative meeting with a delegation of residents from Mitua-Soysambu Ward in Tongaren Constituency.The delegation was led by the area Member of the County Assembly, Stephen Wamalwa, who also serves as the Deputy Speaker of the Bungoma County Assembly.
Speaking during the meeting,Wamalwa, who was elected on a Ford-Kenya party ticket, pledged to work closely with Hon. Wanyonyi to advance development initiatives in Mitua-Soysambu Ward. They noted that Wanyonyi has already demonstrated strong commitment and willingness to support the people of Bungoma County.Timothy Wanyonyi, who is currently the Member of Parliament for Westlands Constituency in Nairobi, has declared his intention to contest the Bungoma gubernatorial seat in the 2027 General Election.

Although Ford Kenya is led by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula,who is also his brother—the two hold differing political positions.Addressing the delegation, Wanyonyi pledged that, if elected governor, he will champion inclusive leadership across Bungoma County. He emphasized that his administration would prioritize education, food security, tourism development, and job creation to improve the livelihoods of residents.
