Busia Senator Okiya Omtata has been rated as the best performing senator across the 47counties, this is a survey released by Infotrak showing Omtata ranked at 59% kirinyaga senator Kamau Murango tied with Kericho senator Aaron Cheruiyot at 56%.
Cheruiyot and Moses Kajwang of homabay are the only third term senator in the top ten List Makueni senator Dan Maanzo and his Nyandarua counterpart senator John Methu closed the top five with 52% and 51% respectively .
The infotrack research was conducted between july and September 2023 the survey covered all 47 counties. The research also ranked the top 25 most performing women representatives and the members of the county assembly (MCA)s.
It is the first time Turkana Representative Cecilia ngitit and Jane Njeri of Kirinyaga were ranked as best performing both with a tie of 50% followed by Homabay women representative Joy Atieno Bensuda with 49%.
The top ten list of most improved women representatives were drawn from Turkana ,Embu,Trans nzoia ,Kericho, Mombasa,Kiambu, Elgeyo Marakwet,Kisii, Uasin ngishu and Mandera counties.
