The Kenyan government plans to roll out its digital identification system in December 2023 after the testing period, that has taken a couple of months.
According to the National regestration beural secretary Doctor Christopher Kinyua; is that digital identity cards will enable customers to do multiple of transaction by using their finger print instead of printed identification cards.
The digital ID will also have features where consumers will use it at the convenience of their smartphone and in addition they will not be required to pay a single cent.
This step also is meant to meet the cry of Kenyans who are complaining on the prices of acquiring identification cards even after reviewing the prices was done by the government.
