Gender and affirmative action principal secretary Ann Wang’ombe, says that out of allocated funds, ksh 273 million will be channeled towards supporting bursaries
An affirmative action principal Ann Wang’ombe, on Thursday made an announcement that will come as big relief for 25000 needy students across the county.Wang’ombe bringing to the forth the government has allocated a grant of Ksh.1.5B to support various programmes across the counties and National Affirmative Action Funds(NGAAAF).
The grants are made to increase the disposable income level for beneficiaries for improved livelihoods through enterprise development.
The P.A said the government will support the prevention and respond to gender based violence including construction of rescue centers, ,social cultural development,naturing of talents,provision of water facilities among other social amenities.
She says “Another Ksh 1.37million has been distributed towards civic education with the aim of raising awareness about different government programmes and policies developing information on producers for accessing funds from NGA.AAF and other decentralized funds.”
