In the 47th minute, Lassine Sinayoko placed a strike which was enough for the Eagles to win the game. The closest the Stallions came to an equalizer was when Aston Villa striker Traore did not make a mistake in the penalty spot after they received a penalty chance with the confirmation of VAR, he scored making the game 2-1. The game ended 2-1 and the Eagles will be facing the rejuvenated hosts, Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals.
