Yesterday, the climate of a thrilling safari rally was put in the air as drivers showcased their skills and prowess in a 5.4 km shakedown preparing fans for a thrilling weekend with the adrenaline filled in the drivers’ eagerness to take the podium.
Fans witnessed a tantalizing preview of the drivers across different types of vehicles with their favorite drivers tackling the undulating terrain of Loldia Ranch, characterized by its varied surfaces and wooded landscapes, preparing them mentally and physically for the main challenge to be overcome over the Easter weekend.
Though during the shakedown race, there are no points awarded, its main purpose is to test the engine and the racing car in general as it boosts their morale for the main challenging event. Tanak of Hyundai swept the podium by clocking 0.08 seconds ahead of Rovanpera of Toyota setting up a thrilling weekend mood for fans as they are eagerly awaiting the eighth gravel competition making it a fan motorsport weekend.
