Through training and capacity building for Junior Secondary School teachers, the state agency introduced a community of practice model to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing among Junior Secondary School teachers and learners to ensure success of the Competence Based Curriculum CBC.
CBC emphasizes learners centred strategies, therefore, when teachers work together they are likely to gain from one another where they will feel more confident and going forward that will enhance the achievement of positive learning outcomes.
Learning experiences can be face to face, online or blended with teachers encouraged to take advantage of social media platforms, even though Junior School is domiciled in Primary School, Institutions must operate independently for effective delivery of the curriculum.
However, the Government is urged to invest in Competence Based Curriculum resource centres, to supplement curriculum delivery in schools.
