Eyewitnesses reported that the accident occurred when the trailer swerved to avoid a collision with a Probox that was overtaking from the wrong lane, resulting in a head-on collision with the matatu from Nanaki Sacco. The injured victims were immediately rushed to Nakuru Level Five Hospital for urgent medical attention, while the police initiated their investigations into the crash.

The bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the county funeral home, awaiting proper identification. These back-to-back accidents have left the community in shock and mourning, emphasizing the urgent need for improved road safety measures.
