The ministry acknowledgement of the vaccine shortage, has place 1.6 million infants and pregnant women at risk due to potential immunization. 

The country is looking at a stock out in less than 2 months, this short fall contribute to the delay payment and reduced budget for procuring and distributing routine vaccine 

Kenya faces the situation within 2 month, with current vaccine stocks dangerously low, the council of governors said, it has already raised an alarm with the national government revealing that counties that have been gambling with the limited supply of vaccine, putting hundred of thousands of babies at risks.

This entire strain have resulted in unpaid bills amounting to 4.5billion sh under the core- funding supporters

The ministry and partners are 1st trucking the shipment of vaccine expected to arrive 1st week of June 2024. this budget reduction means Kenya raise loosing 6.5 billion for vaccine procurement and immunization program
