On Monday, the body of an eight-year-old kid who had been reported missing from Webuye West was found inside a pit latrine, dismembered, and concealed in a plastic bag.
Peter Barasa, a student at Sikimbilo Primary School, passed away last Tuesday following lunch.
The youngster’s upset mother, Linda Nasimiyu, revealed that her son vanished under suspicious circumstances last week.
She told the media that she believes the horrible act was committed by her boyfriend and former neighbor, who inherited her after her husband passed away.
She said her family didn’t want to help and that she had tried and failed to report him to the police.
Nasimiyu claims that the murder suspect would not leave her home, promising to leave something that would live on in her memory the day he departed.
In a chilling turn of events, the man suspected of killing the youngster was beaten to death on Monday in Kimilili, where he had supposedly gone following the crime.
Nathaniel Matete, the local leader of Bokoli, verified the occurrence.
The event is already being investigated, according to the area chief.
