Mathare United delivered a standout performance by dending KCB’s unbeaten streak in the FKF Premier League with a 1-0 win at Dandora Stadium.
The close encounter saw Mathare take the lead in the 55th minute, a goal that ultimately decided the match and brought an end to KCB’s strong run this season. The goal also marked a milestone for Mathare’s Meshack Ochieno, who scored his first goal in the top-flight league.
Starlon Odhiambo’s contribution was especially significant, as it was his first start of the season due to Erickson Mulu’s absence. Filling in for the first-choice left back, Odhiambo seized the opportunity and made a strong case for future starts. His decisive pass was instrumental in breaking the stalemate, demonstrating his readiness to step up when called upon.

Meanwhile, Shabana’s winless streak continued as they fell to Nairobi City Stars in a 1-0 defeat at Gusii Stadium. A fifth-minute goal from Mohamed Bajaber secured City Stars’ second victory of the season, furthering Shabana’s challenges in their return to the league.
