A few days after the inauguration of the new Deputy President, Professor Kithure Kindiki, President William Ruto has launched initiatives to ease political tensions in the country, urging all elected officials to begin serving the people.
Accompanied by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and the Governor of Nairobi, Ruto highlighted the importance of collaborating with ODM leader Raila Odinga to foster national unity.Mudavadi called on churches across the nation to pray for leaders and promote peace.
Meanwhile, the new SHA health insurance scheme remains a contentious issue, with Governor Jostone Sakaja encouraging citizens to embrace it, a view supported by other leaders.
They further claimed that those opposing the new health insurance are corrupt individuals looking to profit from the outdated NHIF scheme.The President reassured church members that the government has allocated funds in the budget to hire more teachers nationwide.
