On Sunday, November 10, during a gathering in Kakamega County, local leaders voiced their support for the Prime Cabinet Secretary as the ideal candidate to replace Kithure Kindiki.
They argued that this leadership change would ensure continuity and stability in the government’s operations.
The leaders emphasized that, with Kindiki now elevated to the position of Deputy President, it was crucial to fill the gap in the Interior Ministry with someone equally capable and experienced. They believed that the Prime Cabinet Secretary’s credentials made him the most suitable choice for the role.
In his remarks, Khalwale urged Kenyans to rally behind President Ruto and support the appointment of Musalia Mudavadi as the new Interior Cabinet Secretary, emphasizing that it would bolster the country’s internal security.
“Let us stand united behind President Ruto and make Mudavadi our Interior CS to strengthen the nation’s internal security,” Khalwale said.
Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka suggested that Musalia Mudavadi should be freed from his international duties and instead focus on leading the Interior Ministry, taking full charge of the role.
On his part, Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka said: “Mr Mudavadi should be relieved from flying between countries and fully take charge of the Interior ministry.”
By proposing this shift, the leaders underscored the importance of maintaining strong governance and security systems within the country. They argued that appointing the Prime Cabinet Secretary would not only strengthen the Interior Ministry but also bolster national cohesion during a time of political transition.
