DCI Chief Mohamed Amin has taken a firm stance against former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s alleged theatrics in the media regarding assassination allegations.

He urged Gachagua to report any threats to his life or property to the nearest police station rather than engaging in media sensationalism.Amin made it clear that Gachagua, like any other Kenyan citizen, would receive the necessary security attention to ensure his safety and protect his assets.

Gachagua had previously addressed Inspector General Douglas Kanja, requesting immediate action to safeguard his life, family, and belongings.Accusing Kanja of withdrawing his security detail as part of a calculated scheme to expose him to criminal elements, Gachagua also alleged that NIS operatives had been monitoring him and his family using unmarked vehicles.
The former DP highlighted instances where he was trailed for over 150 km, raising concerns about his privacy and safety.Amin’s statements align with the Inspector General’s commitment to investigating any reported threats thoroughly. He urged Gachagua to trust in the investigative process and refrain from escalating the situation through media theatrics. By encouraging Gachagua to approach the police with his concerns, Amin emphasized the importance of addressing security issues through proper channels.
