{"id":123,"date":"2023-07-11T11:27:12","date_gmt":"2023-07-11T11:27:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/?p=123"},"modified":"2023-07-11T11:27:12","modified_gmt":"2023-07-11T11:27:12","slug":"njugush-claps-back-at-jua-cali-after-viral-online-drama","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/index.php\/2023\/07\/11\/njugush-claps-back-at-jua-cali-after-viral-online-drama\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Njugush&#8221; claps back at Jua cali after viral online drama"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Comedian and content creator Timothy Kimani aka Njugush has responded to remarks by musician Jua Cali who said that the comedian should stick to producing skits instead of doing stand-up comedy.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1320\" height=\"742\" src=\"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Njugush-1.gif\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" style=\"object-fit:cover;\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>Speaking moments after returning from his comedy tour in Australia, Njugush said he was grateful for everyone who had supported his comedy special, from the first instalment of \u2018Through Thick &amp; Thin (TTNT) 1\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Responding to Jua Cali\u2019s remarks, Njugush said he was unbothered because art is subjective and everyone is entitled to their own sentiments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUnajua alisema ni boy wangu, but we have only met once. But it&#8217;s fine, it is his own sentiment and everyone has their own opinion. His opinion does not prevent me from telling Kenyans to watch TTNT 1 to 4,\u201d Njugush stated.<br>However, Njugush questioned how come, Jua Cali concluded that the comedian was not funny years after he had already ventured into stand-up comedy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The content creator said that he had also faced similar critics in his career but managed to prove them wrong by surpassing their expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTTNT 1, 2, 3 &amp; 4 sold out. The UK was sold out, Australia was sold out. Do you know how hard it is to sell out a show outside Kenya?\u201d Njugush said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen we started Real House helps of Kawangware show, they said it would not go far but the show became a hit.
