After a month of sweating, the 903,260 candidates who sat for the exams last December will know their fate today as their hard work will prove their admissions to various universities in accordance with their performances.<\/p>\n\n\n

Cabinet secretary for education Ezekiel Machogu is set to announce Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results today.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If released in Moi Girls on Monday, the occasion will mark the first time the ministry is releasing examination results outside Mtihani house in Nairobi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This KCSE results are considered significant as they align with the introduction of a new grading scheme designed to increase university admissions where every student will be able to continue with their studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon this the new grading scheme, mathematics and any language (English, Kiswahili, or National Sign Language) will be required subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remaining five subjects which the students had registered for with the highest grades will be used to determine the remaining marks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The changes in the grading system are meant to raise the bar for university intake and are a part of the proposals made by the Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
