{"id":2010,"date":"2024-01-30T12:58:26","date_gmt":"2024-01-30T12:58:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/?p=2010"},"modified":"2024-01-30T12:58:29","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T12:58:29","slug":"governors-fail-to-agree-on-county-disbursement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/index.php\/2024\/01\/30\/governors-fail-to-agree-on-county-disbursement\/","title":{"rendered":"Governors fail to agree on county disbursement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>FELIX WANJALA<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While chairing the Inter governmental Budget Economic Council at Karen Nairobi, deputy president Rigathi Gachagua explained on finding ground on revenue allocation for the counties in the next financial\u00a0year.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"630\" height=\"504\" src=\"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/image-71.png\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" style=\"object-fit:cover;\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/image-71.png 630w, https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/image-71-300x240.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>However the Council of Governors proposed getting 450 billion shillings, was dismissed even as the commission revenue allocation proposing counties to get 398 billion shillings but the national treasury worsen the situation by commiting only to disburse 391 billion shillings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to governors the disbursed amount does not meet the 15% agreement of the budget.
