He said that increased investor confidence in the nation, was the reason behind the shilling recent appreciation.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-61.png\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" style=\"object-fit:cover;\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-61.png 800w, https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-61-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/image-61-768x480.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>Ruto stated that the central bank of kenya\u00a0 fiscal and general economic management\u00a0policies as well as its tightening of monetary\u00a0policy had resulted in the appreciation of the kenya shillings, which has fallen from an average\u00a0of ksh 162 and 142 USD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According the CBK&nbsp; public debt&nbsp; in December 2023 domestic debt &#8211; ksh 6.5 trillion while the external debt was ksh&nbsp; 6.1 trillion a total of 11.1 trillion (1usd -146 ksh). Forex effects in&nbsp; 9th February ksh 160 and on 21 February ksh 142.7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Head of state&nbsp;added that prolific change had lifted Kenya out of debt&nbsp;distress&nbsp;and&nbsp; rebuilt financial stability and created the conditions for integrating&nbsp;the bottom up economic agenda.
