{"id":2458,"date":"2024-03-15T14:47:43","date_gmt":"2024-03-15T14:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/?p=2458"},"modified":"2024-03-15T14:55:56","modified_gmt":"2024-03-15T14:55:56","slug":"nhif-rejection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/index.php\/2024\/03\/15\/nhif-rejection\/","title":{"rendered":"NHIF REJECTION"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>JOY SITATI<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The effect on the delivery of health care occasioned\u00a0by the doctors strike is set to become even worse after Private Hospitals Association in the country announced that they will stop offering\u00a0services to NHIF beneficiaries citing non payment by the NHIF, the Kenya Association of Private Hospitals has issued a 7 days notice to NHIF to release funds owed to member hospitals or have NHIF members denied health services.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-post-featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1599\" height=\"1066\" src=\"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-52.png\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" style=\"object-fit:cover;\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-52.png 1599w, https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-52-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-52-1024x683.png 1024w, https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-52-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/tandaomedia.co.ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/image-52-1536x1024.png 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1599px) 100vw, 1599px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>The effect of the delayed payments of NHIF funds&nbsp;to private hospitals is already affecting Kenyans who are in need of health care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The notice is similar to another one issued by Rural Private Hospitals Association of Kenya(RUPHA) and which lapses on sunday demanding the payment of shillings owed to its members, the association says NHIF has failed to remit payments for services offered&nbsp;to Linda mama beneficiaries in rural areas.
