Kenya has legal system which is based on English common law, customary law and the Islamic law,this has been moved from the dominance of it’s common law tradition to modern day system adapting to the changing of social, economic and political aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n

In Kenya’s constitution the supreme court is established under the article 163 which comprises seven judges,having the chief justice as the president if the court the deputy,it also have five other judges.<\/p>\n\n\n

In order to achieve the goal of visionary plan in judicial system in kenya CJ Martha koome said there are plans that has been put in place to make judiciary more accessible and efficient.she also promised an assessment of judiciary with structures to enhance accountability, law experts have continued to support the plan saying will enable easy engagements between the arms of government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kenyan judiciary is one of the organ established under chapter ten article 159 of the constitution it is established as an independent custodian of justice in the country,the role of judiciary is to exercise all the judicial authority given to it by the people of Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
