In three weeks, a para athletics team competing in the 2024 Paralympics in Paris will be revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n

Kipchoge Keino Stadium in Eldoret will host the national trials from January 18\u201320, according to the Kenya National Paralympic Committee (KNPC).

Athletes vying for tickets to the 2024 Paralympic Games, which are planned for August 28 to September 28, will participate in many Paralympic events during the three-day national trials.


Teams representing Kenya at the Tunis Games in March and the Kobe Japan World Championships in May of this year will also be formed, according to KNPC, from the national trials.

The matchup at Kipchoge Keino Stadium is anticipated to be highlighted by a number of Para-athletics stars.

The Para athletics team that will compete in the Paris Paralympics in 2024 will be unveiled in three weeks.

During the three days of national trials, athletes competing for spots in the 2024 Paralympic Games (which are scheduled for August 28 to September 28) will compete in a variety of Paralympic events.


According to KNPC, teams from the national trials will also represent Kenya at the Tunis Games in March and the Kobe Japan World Championships in May of this year.

Many Para-athletics stars are expected to make the contest at Kipchoge Keino Stadium unforgettable.

Para-athletes that want to attend local, national, and worldwide events will pay for themself.

Mutuma stated, “Participants and their sponsors are expected to arrange for their own transportation and lodging to the competition venue.”

The national championships will be held in cooperation with Uasin Gishu County, according to the secretary general of the Paralympic Committee.

As part of the partnership, Uasin Gishu County, the host of the 2023 national sitting volleyball championship, will be responsible for participant logistics, planning, and security setup.

Eldoret is prepared to host the national trials, according to the Joseph Ochieng-led Local Organizing Committee in Uasin Gishu.<\/p>\n\n\n

Along with self-sponsored competitors, para-athletes from roughly eighteen counties are anticipated. In order to choose a good team, we implore counties and other sponsors to support the talents,” he stated.

“There will be no more trials,” he continued. Uasin Gishu athletes have excelled in prior Para-athletics competitions, and as the hosts, we aim to do even better at home.

It is anticipated that the Eldoret show will feature para-athletes who qualified to compete for Kenya at the East Africa Games last year, including 1500-meter athlete Wesley Sang (T46), men’s 5000-meter T11 Eric Sang, and World Paralympics 1,500-meter champion Nancy Chelangat.
