PS for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Professor Edward Kisiang’ani has advised journalists in the country to acquaint themselves with new trends in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n

In a speech that he sent to journalists attending a Media Council of Kenya workshop in a Bungoma hotel, Professor Kisiang’ani reiterated the need for journalists to move with the new technological advancements happening worldwide so that they aren’t left behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We’re in a digital transformation era and things are fast-changing in the sector. Read, research and make important connections so that you aren’t left behind, “Said the PS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also underscored the need for the Kenyan media to support President William Ruto in actualizing the Kenya Government Government development agenda by doing more reports on the implementation and success of the Six key pillars of the Government agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n

“We need the media to re-focus their attention in regard to the key pillars of President William Ruto’s transformative agenda for this country. We’ve been trying but more is needed because all Kenyans must be impartially  informed about what the President is doing for them,”Added Kisiang’ani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He advised journalists to embrace reporting on climate change, good governance and human rights instead of solely relying on political stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PS has of late come out as the strongest defender of President Ruto in the wake of re-emergence of regional and tribal political talk in the country, at many forums Kisiang’ani clearly pointing that Kenyans must only owe their allegiance and loyalty to the President and not subscribe to their community and regional Kingpins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There’s only one leader in Kenya and that’s His Excellency President William Ruto. In case things go wrong in this country, Kenyans will ask their President but not Kingpins,” The PS said recently during a Madaraka Day media breakfast briefing in Bungoma.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
