Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki has urged President William Ruto to reconsider appointing the former Interior Cabinet Secretary, Kindiki Kithure, to the new cabinet. <\/p>\n\n\n

Speaking at PCEA Rubate in Chuka, Njuki praised Kindiki for his exemplary performance during his 21-month tenure in the Interior docket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Njuki emphasized that the entire Tharaka Nithi County, including the political class, is rallying behind Kindiki following his dismissal after President Ruto dissolved his cabinet earlier in the week. The governor highlighted Kindiki’s achievements and contributions, suggesting that his reappointment would benefit the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his remarks, Njuki criticized Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga for targeting Kindiki. He accused Raila of making unfounded accusations against the former CS and called on him to stop his attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Njuki defended Kindiki, stating that he has never been found guilty of any offense or charged in any court of law. He insisted that the former CS has always acted within the bounds of the law and should not be subjected to political witch-hunts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The governor concluded by reiterating his support for Kindiki and urged President Ruto to recognize his past contributions and consider him for a position in the new cabinet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at PCEA Rubate in Chuka, Njuki emphasized the unanimous support from Tharaka Nithi County for Kindiki, highlighting his exemplary performance during his 21-month tenure in the Interior docket. He welcomed the call for an all-inclusive reconstitution of the cabinet and urged President Ruto to consider Tharaka Nithi in the new appointments, particularly for the Interior Ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Njuki stressed that local leaders, clergy, and Members of the County Assembly had all agreed that Kindiki was the best candidate to be reappointed to the Interior Ministry. He committed his full support to President Ruto as the Head of State initiates reforms to revive the economy, expressing confidence in Ruto’s vision for Kenya’s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The governor’s remarks come shortly after President Ruto dismissed the Cabinet, except for Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, to pave the way for a “broad-based Government.” This decision followed an extensive appraisal of the Cabinet’s performance, aiming to form a team that would accelerate Kenya\u2019s transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
