Government and Private Sector Unite to Create Digital Job Opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the critical shortage of job opportunities, the government has identified the creation of digital jobs as a key strategy to tackle the issue. <\/p>\n\n\n

Principal Secretary of ICT and Digital Economy, Engineer John Tanui, emphasized that collaboration with the private sector is essential for success in this endeavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“By partnering with the private sector and exceeding their expectations, we can generate and meet the employment needs of around a million new graduates each year,” said Tanui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government is actively developing the necessary infrastructure to support artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives and enhance broadband connectivity nationwide. This includes accelerating the deployment of broadband solutions to ensure that every region has access to high-speed internet, whether through fiber optics or alternative technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n

“We are committed to expanding broadband connectivity so that every part of our country can access the internet,” Tanui added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inua AI, a leading tech firm, is also playing a significant role in this initiative. Founder and CEO Hrey Muma announced plans to fund 20 students pursuing technology-related courses. Additionally, Inua AI aims to establish 10 digital centers across the country next year, further boosting job creation and providing digital skills training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These efforts are a crucial step towards addressing unemployment and equipping the youth with the skills needed for the digital age.
