Kenyans will be able to access a number of services including Reno and Oncology under the new social health authority that is immediately rolling out on 1st of next month.<\/p>\n\n\n

The government says other services including emergency and mental wellness will become effective under the new scheme beginning june of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0As the official role out of services under the social health authority beckons, the authority says, all its registered members will be able to access outpatient, inpatient, renal oncology, maternity and screening of other common diseases, immediately the ball is set rolling on 1st of October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The transition that has seen at least 1.2 million Kenyans have registered so far, is to ensure equity in its benefit package, and like what was witnessed, under the defunct National Health insurance fund, that had\u00a0 enhanced packages for special groups of persons .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the government, the transition will help cartel out of pocket expenditure on health for its members, who will now be able to access services, at a standardized rate ,across all the facilities in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, only 4,521 public facilities, and 7864 private hospitals, have been registered and licenced by the Kenya medical practitioners, and dentist council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
