George Natembeya stated that it is illegal for Members of Parliament to manage KeRRA functions, emphasizing that their role should be limited to oversight.<\/p>\n\n\n

 He pointed out that the responsibility for road maintenance and resources should lie entirely with the executive, under the leadership of the governors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said  that each ward will receive sh. 29 million this financial year, an increase from the previous sh. 25 million, to enhance development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 He also noted that the county’s graders and tippers are now fully operational, which will will play a big role in  improving roads across the county.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expressing concern over poverty, Governor Natembeya said that the high rate of poverty in Endebess requires concerted efforts to eliminate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 He criticized Kenya Seed Company and ADC for hiring workers from outside Trans Nzoia, stating that local residents should be incorporated in employment to combat poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He encouraged residents to form groups and apply for the Nawiri Fund, adding that this year the county has allocated sh. 100 million, up from sh. 80 million in the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the Kikao gathering in Bwala, Matumbei Ward, Governor Natembeya reassured locals that their needs would be addressed through the allocated ward-specific fund and additional resources from the executive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He acknowledged the residents’ appreciation for the free maize seed distribution and addressed their concerns, stating that the county would consider establishing a health center, installing high-mast lights for security, and improving water services in the ward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by area MCA Margaret Chemutai, nominated MCA Helen Targon, County Secretary Truphosa Amere, and various CECs including Patrick Gacheru (Trade), Sam Ojwang (Health), and Jackson Amboka (Education), <\/p>\n\n\n\n
