In the ever-evolving landscape of politics, tensions are running high within various parliamentary committees as allies of Deputy President Gachagua find themselves in the crosshairs for removal from key positions. Majority Whip Silvanus Osoro has taken the bold step of tabling a motion in the National Assembly to shake things up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among those who have felt the impact of this political maneuver are Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, who previously chaired the Constitution Committee; Roysambu MP Augustine Kamande, who made headlines by boycotting President William Ruto\u2019s recent event; Naivasha MP Jane Kihara, the former head of the Lands Committee; and Mumias East MP Peter Salasya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the changes don’t stop there. Some MPs have been stripped of their leadership roles but have been instructed to continue serving as ordinary members of their respective committees. This includes Embakasi North MP James Gakuya, Gatanga MP Edward Muriu, and Kajiado North MP Onesmus Ngoyo, who has now found himself reassigned to the Broadcast and Library Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the flip side, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has managed to hold onto his position as chair of the Budget Committee amidst the reshuffling. However, it’s not all smooth sailing as ODM legislators are strategically positioning themselves to swoop in and take over key roles as part of the government’s broader political strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
