The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory warning of widespread rainfall and showers across several regions of the country over the weekend, urging residents to prepare for wet conditions through Monday, December 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its latest weekly forecast, the department highlighted that major towns including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Kiambu, Nakuru, and Meru are expected to receive intermittent rainfall. The southern half of the country will be particularly affected, with rainfall intensity projected to increase as the weekend progresses.Marsabit County is forecast to experience strong southeasterly winds exceeding 25 knots over the next five days. The department cautioned residents in the region to remain vigilant due to the potential impact of the high winds.In central Kenya, counties such as Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang\u2019a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka Nithi will see cloudy mornings with light rain and sunny intervals. Afternoon and nighttime showers are also expected. Temperatures in these areas will range between 5 and 29 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
