Bulovi Secondary School in Shinyalu has officially reopened after a sudden closure caused by longstanding challenges that had threatened its existence. Shinyalu Member of Parliament Fred Ikana presided over the reopening ceremony, urging parents to enroll their children at the institution and promising renewed support for schools that had been neglected in the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ikana announced a bursary worth Ksh 500,000 for students at Bulovi Secondary and revealed plans to provide lunch for senior school learners. He emphasized his commitment to working with the government and parents to achieve full transition of students into secondary education, ensuring that no child is left behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing residents, the MP underscored the importance of accountability among elected leaders, calling on them to present their achievements and scorecards to the public. He highlighted his own development record and appealed for support in his 2027 re-election bid. Ikana also encouraged parents to enroll their children in nearby schools such as Bulovi Secondary to ease the burden of long-distance travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
