The Bishop of the Catholic Church in the Kakamega Diocese, Joseph Obanyi, has strongly condemned the ongoing verbal disputes between senior government leaders and opposition members.<\/sup><\/kbd><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent address to the media in Kakamega town, Bishop Obanyi urged politicians to put an end to divisive and hateful rhetoric and to constant public quarrels. He encouraged them to use this time to reflect on the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, emphasizing the importance of unity, humility, and reconciliation.<\/kbd><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, he criticized a recent incident in which senators confronted and harassed Samburu Governor Lati Lelei outside the Senate chambers. The bishop expressed concern over such behavior, stating that it undermines the dignity of leadership and erodes public trust in institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
