its today’s pleasure as education CS Ezekiel Machogu releases the 2023 KCSEresults at Moi girls Eldoret after briefing president Ruto.
The KCSE exams began on 23rd October and ended on 24th November with 903260 candidates as this is the first in five years that the KCSE results have been delayed well beyond the new year,since it is the first time the results are released outside mtihani house, where Machogu said that the delay was meant to verify the marks.
Either, Machogu said that the students will benefit from the new grading system unveiled in August, which is aimed at increasing the number of those joining universities
2023 exams was marred by cases of malpractices as several center managers were arrested and others suspended. Ps Beliot Kipsang said , the treasury has released capitations to schools in order to support free learning.
However Among the best performing national was Maseno school with 36A,126A- 114B+,121B, 77B-37C+,9C, 3C- where they are aiming at placing their students in most competitive courses in the higher learning institutions.
The 2023 exams are significant because they coincide with the introduction of a new grading scheme designed to increase university admissions. Therefore KNEC has opened a 2months window for Principals to register candidates for 2024 KCSE Exams
More than one thousand candidates obtained an overall of grade A’s, over 48000 candidates obtained grades E’s as those who scored C+and above are over 200000, for the D+’s are 500000 where in national schools a total of 889 scored A’s, in private schools 143, then 5 A’s in county schools and 7A’s in Subcounty schools as mathematics is the best performed subject.
