Police in Uasin Gishu have detained two individuals suspected of distributing fake KPSEA exams.
The suspects, linked to Silver Bells Academy in Eldoret, allegedly provided counterfeit KPSEA papers to unsuspecting Grade 6 students.
On the third day of the KAPSEA exams, a startling incident unfolded when it was disclosed that 23 students from Silver Belts Academy in Uasin Gishu County, had unknowingly taken counterfeit Kenya Primary School Education Assessment exams.
The County Director of Education, Gitonga Thirigi, confirmed the arrest of both the school’s director and head teacher, sparking concerns about the integrity and security of students preparing for national assessments.
The issue surfaced after worried parents noticed, that the school had failed to administer the exams to their children on Monday.
It has now been revealed that Silver Bells Academy is not registered as an official examination center. The school has since been shut down, and an investigation is ongoing.
