A recent video emanated online, of a man setting himself on fire in Mombasa to protest against the high cost of living currently experienced in the country.
The middle aged man set himself on fire a top a petrol station as by standers watched helplessly while others took videos and pictures
The man was incensed by locals who claimed that he was setting himself on fire because he had stolen some goods.
In a video sent to tandao tv officials, the man was seen pouring on himself a liquid which was deemed to be Petrol, He later went on to light himself up as onlookers begged with him to reconsider his decisions.
Officials from a nearby station confirmed that indeed the man had tried to set himself on fire. However the fire was put out and the man rushed to the coast general hospital where he is currently recieving treatment
In a recorded video, the man was heard complaining that the 2022 presidential poll was bungled, stressing that his preferred candidate was rigged out.
Nonetheless, the man fell short of explaining how the outcome of the poll was connected to setting himself on fire.
