It is a battle biding two factions in the UDA party in the county assembly of Nairobi on one side it is against the Nairobi governor Johnstone Sakaja and his deputy .
Now the court has dismissed changes made in the leadership of county assembly of Nairobi following their opinion of impeaching minority leader Anthony Kirangu and the county assembly chief whip Mark Mugambi.
The team that is being led by Easther Waithera Chege led a process of impeaching Anthony Kirangu accusing him of misusing the office of the minority the ability to impeach him failed after the UDA secretary general cleophas Malala called for the immediate meeting to discuss the issue.
Yesterday party’s sec gen Cleophas Malala stated that he had already received the letter that has details of changes in the UDA party’s leadership from the county assembly of Nairobi Malala declared the letter valid before the team led by Easther Waithera raised their claims to the party,this made Malala to change previous declaration of the letter but called for the two battling teams for further engagements.
Deputy chief whip Joyce Mthoni through a letter to the party has stated that claims they raised to the party are of great concern that must be respected.
The battling teams now want Malala not to interfere with the issues pertaining party’s disciplinary committee the teams have accused malala for awarding ODM Leaders leadership positions in the UDA party saying that it is against the party’s constitution.
