Cost of living has been the cry of kenyans; on sensitization that affording basic need to some is once in a blue moon as they do not have enough money to afford them.
National dialogue is set to resume on matters concerning lowering the cost of living where the members of the committee invited treasury CS Njuguna Ndungu to help them balance and break the knots of high cost of living and assuring Kenyans that the committee will meet a consensus before sunday which is ment to be the deadline of the dialogue.
However CS Professor Njuguna Ndungu brought forth some suggestion on board, like some of the taxes that can be rechecked and probably reduced so as to mitigate the cries of high cost of living .
The opposition side sticking on the proposal attempt to reduce the 16% VAT fuel levy and 1.5% housing levy as they are the most important factor triggering the high cost of living where the committee failed to establish whether those taxes are among those discussed. Though he assures the citizens of a positive response regarding attempts to lower the high cost of living
