As the KCPE Results were released on 24th of this month where the first candidate toped with 428marks some school from different parts of the country have been celebrating as they were awarded great marks.
A crucial milestorm awaits today for all the 2023 candidates as the form one selection process commences, this comes amid an uproar of a poor marking allegations and the reportedly inaccurate issuance of grades potentially impacting the educational life of the students.
Brainstorm school in Isiolo county was on spotlight after 32 students scored 75 marks in science as it was a subject of clarification as KNEC refuted the claims of exams malpractices in the subject.
The statement partly read, Knec has studied the KCPE exams results, for a school that was widely circulated in social media forums, indicating that all the students in the school attained an identical marks 75 in science as it also reviewed the results for the school and all the reports that were received from the exams centres and anonymous letter where it has not found any indication that the school was involved in exams malpractices.
This year’s selection will be based on learners choices overall performance and individual performance as those who had 400 marks and above will be able to join National schools since there were total of 8,523 candidates where all of them will be able to join National schools, extra county schools,county schools and even sub-county
