The entire Athletic Kenya board has been suspended and ordered by the Kenya High Court under the order of Justice Mugambi for the federation to review its constitution and amend it and he did advise during the court session to include the views collected in 2016 in the reviews.
The ruling comes to an end after being filed in 2016 by former athletes led by former Boston record holder Moses Tanui to kick out the entire officials and have fresh brains in the federation.
The ruling directed that any official who has been in office for eight years since the inauguration of the federation has surpassed the required time of 2 or 4 years limit and should vacate the office immediately and are not eligible to contest for elections which are to be held within 90 days. The last election of board members for Athlete Kenya was in 2013.
