Fresh blood has been injected into the Kenya national football team, Harambee Stars on Wednesday afternoon where coach Firat announced the squad to participate in the 4 nation tournament as from the 18th to 24th of this Month.
The new faces include Oman-based player Alfonso Omija, Murang’a Seal’s goalkeeper Boniface Munyasa, Chris Erambo of Tusker FC, Kaycee Odhiambo from AFC Leopards, winger, Shariff Musa of Gormahia and David Sakwa of Bandari. In the squad also there will be John Avire who will be making a comeback into the national team since his appearance in 2018.
The 27-man squad is required to report to camp immediately for training in preparation for 4 nation tournament which includes Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and the hosting nation Malawi.
Finally, the Chapa Dimba Youth football final for Nairobi regionals is here as it will be played this weekend. The long-awaited moment has been placed at the newly opened Dandora Stadium where it will host eight teams both in the girls’ section and boys’ section.
Eight teams will battle in the semi-fithe nal on Saturday and the winners will fight for the title on Sunday in the finals. The girls’ lineup will see Masericordiae Queens (Makadara), Page Vision Ladies (Mathare Valley), Dagoretti Mixed girls, and Beijing Raiders (Mathare Valley), while the boys line up in search for the national ticket will feature; Young Kings (Dandora), Lucky Summer Sports Club (Lucky Summer), Macmillan FC (Landimawe) and Dagoretti Lions (Dagoretti). The winners will head to Kisumu for national tournament in April with the best teams given a trip to Spain for an international coaching camp.
