It is on of the emerging challenges associated with increased sale of counterfeit agricultural inputs like seeds and pesticides that has seen farmers near financial losses of lowering crop yields, however, counterfeit seeds are the leading contributed to poor harvest this leading to the high cost of living as food is imported from outside the country.
PS for agriculture Paul Rono cautioned farmers on counterfeit seeds in the market while in a meeting with seed Rawls and other stakeholders when enhancing farm input access to farmers.
Therefore, Government is urged to put measures in order for farmers to be able to select good seeds as they may result to good harvesting.
