Following the battles that are undergoing in ODM party,now the party leader Raila Odinga has been expected to chair the party meeting today, to discuss about the party’s grassroots elections set to be done in April. This comes amid after the the ODM boss Raila Odinga set to contest for the AU chairmanship position.
Orange Democratic Movement has never held a grassroots elections since in the year 2014 at Kasarani, the elections turned chaotic.this has raised concern that may lead to a serious split hence collapsing of the large opposition party in the country.
Odinga endorsed former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya and his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Joho,to take over party’s affairs in his absence, ODM chair John Mbadi has called upon disciplinary committee to discuss the issues emerging between the two deputies.
As the two leaders continue to battle for party’s leadership, citizens across the country have expressed their views on who can be the best to take over Odinga as the party leader.
