The DCI revealed that a pastor in Webuye faced a predicament when human body parts were allegedly discovered in his vehicle.
According to reports, the unsettling find was made on Monday, July 8, inside a carton in the preacher’s car while it was being washed at the Amazing petrol station in Bungoma’s Misikhu market. The suspect, identified as Levis Simiyu, who is a pastor at a local ministry in Ndivisi Ward, had taken his Toyota Premio for a wash at the carwash before the shocking discovery was uncovered.
An employee at the carwash noticed a partially burnt human leg sticking out of the car’s trunk, prompting him to alert the station manager. The manager then contacted the authorities at Webuye station, who intervened just in time to prevent Pastor Simiyu from leaving the scene.
The suspect is currently in custody, cooperating with the investigation, while the recovered body parts have been transferred to Webuye County Hospital morgue for preservation and further examination.
The DCI further revealed that the pastor claimed to have no knowledge of how the human body parts ended up in his vehicle, insisting that he was not involved in any criminal activities.
However, the authorities are treating the case as a potential homicide and are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the origin of the body parts and any possible connection to the pastor. The shocking discovery has sent shockwaves through the community, with many questioning the integrity of the pastor and the motives behind the gruesome find.
The local ministry where Pastor Simiyu serves has also come under scrutiny, with members expressing disbelief and concern over the allegations. As the investigation unfolds, the pastor’s reputation and standing in the community hang in the balance, with many awaiting the outcome of the case with bated breath.
