Speaking at an educational event, Samburu women rep Pauline Lenguris claimed that the shortage of teachers has contributed to the decline in education standards in the county.
This female representative has raised the objections to transfer of teachers from counties where they are born to other countries .she claims that this action has further contributed to the decline in educational standards for the pastoralist child.
This statement was raised by Samburu MP Naisula Lesuuda, who asserted that, they will be advocating against the transfer of teachers who were born in that county.
When these leaders raise their safety about the shortage of teachers, this issue has been mentioned to have a great impact on rural schools, particularly, in areas affected by insecurity, teachers assigned to this regions by TSC are reported to be avoiding reporting to work due to concerns over their safety
