Transnzoia county police officers have seized sixty motorcycles which were dismantled, converted into spare parts and sold at one shop in the Sikhendu area Kiminini Constituency and arrested three suspects believed to be part of a motorcycle hijacking ring.
It was an operation involving police officers from DCI Trans-nzoia county, partnering with regular police officers in Uasin gishu county.
The officers have been investigating cases of murder, involving more than five people who are all bodaboda operators.
According to Trans-nzoia deputy commander Sellasio Muraidi, some motorcycles were associated with the bodaboda men who were traced to this position.
Bodaboda riders have now been cautioned to take extra care with their customers ,urging them to value lives than property, and rest assured that the police will be able to recover their stolen properties.
