The acting secretary general of UDA party Omar Hassan, has stated that there is no rift between president William Ruto, and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, following the wrangles surrounding Mt. Kenya region, over the kingship politics.
Omar alleged that the party will support president William Ruto against his deputy, if need arise for him to run for any seat from the opposition side.
Gachagua’s close allies accompanied him to the burial service of Lamu deputy governor, Raphael Munywa, at Mpeketoni in Lamu county and warned of any impeachment attempt against Rigathi Gachagua.
Coastal leaders led by Mombasa governor Abdul Swamad Nasir, opposed the one vote, one shilling narrative asking the government to ensure there is equal distribution of revenue allocation.
Leaders from nyanza region led by Former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero, endorsed broad-based government saying this will enable all parts of the country benefit from various developments from the ruling government.
