National assembly majority leader Kimani Ichungwa has confirmed being one of the Mps, supporting the impeachment motion of the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.
Majority leader has accused the deputy president of undermining the government, through what he tamed he has been moving divisive politics.
Kimani’s statement appeared to be aligning with a section of rift valley law makers,who accused Gachagua of starting early 2027 campaigns.
The motion of impeachment will be tabled at the national assembly on Tuesday,this is according to majority leader Kimani Ichungwa, 233 members of Parliament are required in support of the motion.
On Sunday reports emerged showing 302 legislators have already assented their signatures, in support of the impeachment of the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, National assembly speaker Moses Wetangula expressed his views at the debate.
Opposition leaders led by wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, have dismissed the impeachment attempt, accusing the government of diverting citizens attention, on important national affairs.
