Their mission? To dive deep into the legislative and administrative processes of the Kenyan bicameral Parliament and bring back some serious knowledge to strengthen the National Assembly of Zimbabwe. And let me tell you, they’re off to a roaring start!
The team wasted no time and dove headfirst into their study tour with a tour of the iconic Parliament Buildings. From the history of the Parliamentary Service Commission to the nitty-gritty details of the Kenya Parliamentary Budget Office, these budget buffs are leaving no stone unturned.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! The delegation is gearing up for some serious technical engagements with the Parliamentary Budget Office (PBO) on everything from Budget Policy Statements to sectoral budget and policy analysis. And let’s not forget about the deep dive into the Analysis of Public Debt and Money Bill determination – talk about budget bonanza!

And to top it all off, they’re set to witness the magic of the National Assembly in action during Thursday’s afternoon sitting. From the Speaker’s gallery, they’ll get a front-row seat to the House proceedings – now that’s what I call a budget safari!
