

Prime Cabinet Secretary (CS) Musalia Mudavadi is making waves in Washington, United States,as he embarks on a mission to strengthen bilateral ties with the Western powerhouse.
In a high-stakes move, Mudavadi is set to engage in talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, focusing on bolstering the partnership between Kenya and the US across a spectrum of crucial areas such as security, trade and investment.
The stakes are high as Mudavadi pushes for the expansion of economic ties including advocating for the renewal of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and attracting US investments to Kenya. This strategic move is a testament to Mudavadi’s commitment to fostering a robust relationship between the two nations.
In addition to his meeting with Secretary Rubio, Mudavadi is scheduled to engage in discussions with the Chairman of the House on Foreign Affairs Committee, Brian Mast. Furthermore, he will convene with the International Development Finance Corporation (IDFC) and participate in a business roundtable with US investors at the US Chamber of Commerce.
